This is an excellent James Hamilton 2 gallon Crock. Outstanding vivid cobalt blue! Structurally perfect except for two small chips on the bottom outside edge of the top rim, which are hardly noticeable. No cracks! One small stone ping on the top edge of the blue line across the bottom of the crock. There is also a kiln mark on the back of the piece. This is a very nice collectors piece. The crock measures 12" high by 8" in diameter and was produced in Greensboro, PA in the 1870's. Wonderful combination of freehand and stenciling.
